• Workday is the City's Financial and Human Capital Management System.
• Council approved the Workday subscription contract on August 14, 2017, for $3,104,845 for a period of 5 years.
• The City has successfully implemented the Human Capital Management and Financial modules of Workday in Spring 2019.  The City will implement Workday's Learning Management functionality by the end of 2021.
• The original Workday system subscription contract did not include the cost of sales tax or take into account price increases due to growth of the employee base and project module utilization.

The City has gained many efficiencies and cost-savings by implementing the Workday system.  The Workday system subscription contract did not include the cost of sales tax or take into account price increases due to growth of the employee base and project module utilization.  As a result, the contract amount needs to be increased  by $377,484.50 to include these factors.

Increasing the contract amount will ensure that the City can continue to utilize the Workday Financial and Human Capital system. The adjustment will provide for increases in the City's employee base and project module utilization for the remainder of the 2021-2022 biennium.
