Present Situation

The City of Vancouver, through it’s Public Works Department, currently contracts with Action Onsite for ergonomic assessment and early intervention services and has been very successful in reducing work-related injuries. The Risk and Safety Department requested and was awarded ongoing budget to add VPD to these services.

Advantage(s)
  1. Increasing this contract will allow the City to consolidate the services of Action Onsite for two separate departments into one contract.
  2. The management of the contract will now be managed by the Risk and Safety Department.

Disadvantage(s)
None
Budget Impact

The administration costs are already factored into the baseline budget for 2022 and beyond with no further budget impacts.

Action Requested

Approve an increase of $306,000 to the authorized amount of the Contract with Action Onsite, Inc. and authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute an amendment increasing the contract to $606,000.
