City Council Meeting Agenda

November 7, 2022



In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA), the Vancouver City Council meeting will be open to in-person attendance. Options for viewing and/or participating in the meeting remotely will also be accommodated (see details below). The City Council will be attending this meeting in person.

  

All City Council workshops and meetings are broadcast (live closed captioning available) on www.cvtv.org, CVTV cable channels 23 / HD 323, and on the City's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/VancouverUS. 

 

Public testimony will be accepted under Community Communication regarding Consent Agenda items (Items 1-5), under Public Hearings (Items 6-7), and under Unfinished Business (Items 8-9)Advance registration will be required (see details below). 

 

 Testimony will be accepted in the following manner:

 

  • Written comments submitted in advance

 

Comments may be sent to council@cityofvancouver.us until 12:00 p.m. November 7. Comments will be compiled and sent to the City Council and entered into the record.

 

In-person or remote testimony during the meeting

Advance registration is required to testify. Online registration is open until 12:00 p.m. on November 7.

 

In person registration is open until 6:30 pm at the Council Chambers. Instructions will be provided on-site.

AN ORDINANCE relating to the collection of solid waste, recyclable materials and organics, and amending certain sections of VMC 6.12 to increase or adjust rates and charges consistent with approved utility user taxes and rates and in accordance with current contracts for the coming year; providing for savings, severability and an effective date.

AN ORDINANCE of the City of Vancouver authorizing the Vancouver Transportation Benefit District Board to establish an up to one-tenth of one percent (.1%) sales and use tax pursuant to RCW 36.73.065(4)(a)(v); adopting legislative findings; amending Section 3.40.070(A) of the Vancouver Municipal Code to reflect recent changes in state law; providing for severability; and setting an immediate effective date.
